ROAD TRANSPORT

Akçakara Logistics provides road transport of vegetables, citrus fruits and dry cargo across Europe, Russia and the Turkic republics with CMR insurance and the guarantee of Akçakara Logistics, using refrigerated and curtain-sided vehicles.

Akçakara Logistics' own refrigerated and owned curtain-sided vehicles, together with the entire fleets of our contracted and partner transport companies, are equipped with environmentally friendly EURO 5 green and quiet engines. Akçakara Logistics' international road transport division handles an annual volume of at least 5,200 trucks, 135,200 pallets and 111,800,000 kg on shipments to Europe and Russia.

Our partner transport companies are transport firms registered in Turkey, Moldova, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine and Serbia.

Within Turkey, Akçakara Logistics carries vegetable and citrus shipments from all export regions to the ports of Zonguldak, Samsun and Trabzon by road with 13.60 m curtain-sided trucks.

SEA TRANSPORT

We provide export services through our contracted agencies in sea transport (storage, customs clearance, transshipment, transit, door-to-door delivery and domestic container transport, full vessel charter and ship agency services).

Akçakara Logistics, which started road transport operations in 1998, incorporated sea transport into its structure in 2001 in order to serve the sea transport needs arising from requests by our partner companies, with the support of Mehmet Yıldırım, owner of "VİRA-M SHIP & CONTAINER AGENCY" based in Samsun.

Akçakara Logistics serves our valued exporters at Turkey's most important ports such as Zonguldak, Samsun and Trabzon in the maritime field together with VİRA-M SHIP & CONTAINER AGENCY.
We operate daily round-trip line services from the ports of Zonguldak, Samsun and Trabzon to the ports of Skadovsk, Evpatoria, Novorossiysk and Sochi for all fresh vegetable and citrus exporters in Antalya, Fethiye, Alaşehir, İzmir, Çanakkale, Bursa, Mersin, Adana, Antakya, Denizli, Jordan, Syria, Egypt and Cyprus with our directly contracted vessels.

Our contracted vessels are state-of-the-art RO-RO ships suitable for pallet loading, trailer and thermoking refrigerated truck transport, and box-hold vessels with 4.5 m draft, 77 m to 123 m in length, with a minimum capacity of 40 and maximum of 90 trailers and bulk pallet transport.

The Akçakara Logistics & Vira ship agency group handles an annual volume of at least 80 vessels, 96,000 pallets and 100,800,000 kg on the Zonguldak–Skadovsk/Evpatoria, Samsun–Novorossiysk and Trabzon–Sochi routes. Between 13.10.2008 and 19.01.2009, Akçakara Logistics and Vira Denizcilik loaded 33 box-hold vessels at Samsun Port, setting a precedent by surpassing the largest sea transport companies and earning its rightful place.
